Someone I met online is teaching me to trade. Should I worry?
If the lessons lead to a platform they introduced, yes. There is one test, and it takes a day.
The most expensive fraud in crypto begins as a relationship, not an investment. Weeks of ordinary conversation, wealth mentioned casually, a small test amount that pays out, then scale.
Two details identify it regardless of how the person seems. The platform was introduced by them rather than found by you. And the balance on screen has never been withdrawn in full.
The test: withdraw everything, today. A real platform processes it. This one produces a tax, a fee, a verification deposit or a freeze — and no additional payment ever releases the money, because the payment is the business.
The successful small withdrawal you already made is not evidence. It is the cheapest advertising in fraud, and it is done on purpose.
If somebody close to you is in this: asking what happens if they withdraw it all works better than telling them it is a scam. The long con explains why.
