A token I never bought appeared in my wallet. What is it?
Advertising, usually hostile. Anybody can send anything to any address. Do not interact with it.
Sending a token to an address requires no permission from its owner, so unwanted tokens arrive in wallets constantly. Most carry a website name in the title, and their entire purpose is to be seen when you open your wallet.
The site they advertise is a claim page. Connecting and pressing the button produces an approval that lets a contract move something you actually own.
What to do: nothing. Do not connect, do not try to sell it, and do not try to "clean" it — selling requires an approval, which is the trap. Most wallets let you hide it from view.
A related trick sends a tiny amount of a real asset from an address resembling one you use, so you copy the wrong one from your history later. Never take an address from your transaction history.
Giveaways that are not and address mistakes.
