When is the best time to buy?
Nobody knows, including anyone who tells you. What exists is a way to stop the question mattering.
This site does not forecast prices, and the honest position is that short-term prediction has not been shown to work reliably for ordinary participants. Anybody offering a specific answer is guessing or selling.
What does exist is a method for removing the decision: buying a fixed amount on a fixed schedule, regardless of price. It does not produce better returns by any law, and it can underperform buying everything at once. What it does is stop a single day's price from deciding the outcome, and stop the decision from depending on how you feel that week.
That is a description, not a recommendation — the glossary entry defines it, and whether it suits you is yours to decide.
The thing worth avoiding is the opposite pattern: buying more after a rise because it rose, and stopping after a fall because it fell.
The case against checking the price every day is the argument.
