Quick answer

Where should I keep my seed phrase?

On paper or metal, in a place safe from fire, water and other people. Not in anything that connects to a network.

The rule is simple: it should exist in a form that cannot be read remotely. Paper qualifies. So does stamped metal, which survives the fire that paper does not.

What does not qualify: a photograph, a note app, a document in cloud storage, an email to yourself, a password manager, or a message in any chat. All of them are one account compromise away from being read, and several have been exactly that.

Two copies in two physical places beats one, because the realistic threat for most people is not a thief but a flood, a fire or a house move. Splitting the words across locations sounds clever and usually ends in the owner locking themselves out.

One more thing worth doing once: restore the wallet from the written copy onto a clean device before you put a meaningful amount in it. A backup nobody has tested is a hope.

If you lose access covers what to do when it goes wrong.
