Custodial
An arrangement where a platform holds the keys and your balance is a claim against that platform, much like a bank balance. Convenient, reversible by them, and dependent on their solvency.

Proof of reservesA published attestation that a custodian holds assets matching customer balances. Its value depends on whether liabilities were audited too, and by whom.
